Alexander is born and raised in Diest, a city in Belgium and is currently in his 1st masters year of Chemistry at the Catholic University of Leuven (KUL).
Alexander is working on synthesizing pharmaceutically relevant organometallic complexes using flow chemistry at the Len and Gasser group.
Alexander is a socially engaged student back in Belgium, being the chairman (or in local terms: Praeses) of the student association Chemika which organizes social and cultural events for the students (Bio)Chemistry of the KUL. He also represents them on an educational level by attending the student council meetings.
