Clara was born in 1996 and grew up in Konstanz in the south of Germany. In 2015 she moved to Maastricht in the Netherlands to study in the Maastricht Science Programme. In this interdisciplinary BSc course she majored in Chemistry.
She is performing her bachelor thesis research in the Gasser group, where she is working on a project that focuses on the synthesis and characterisation of novel metal-based drug candidates against schistosomiasis.
In her free time she likes to travel, go on long distance hikes, play music and make elaborately decorated cakes.
