Elizabeth was born in Santiago (Chile). In 2016, she started studying Chemistry at the University of Santiago of Chile. In 2021, she began a PhD in Chemistry at the same institution.  Her thesis project, under the supervision of Dr. Carolina Mascayano and Dr. Fernando Godoy, and a collaboration with Dr. Erick Flores, focuses on the development of new molecular hybrids derivatives of ferrocene and cyrhetrene as anti-inflamatory agents, specifically blocking the biosynthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes by the cyclooxygenase-2 and 5-lipoxygenase enzyme pathways. She recently joined Chimie ParisTech to carry out a research internship in the group of Gilles Gasser thanks to a grant from ANID-Chile.

In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys practicing traditional Chilean dances, watching movies, and listening to music. She also likes to walk and discover new natural places.
