Jules was born in 2001 in Saint-Germain-en-Laye and grew up in the western suburbs of Paris. After high school, he completed in 2020 a BSc in Chemistry at Sorbonne Université. While finishing his MSc in organic chemistry at the same university, he worked under the supervision of Dr. Julie Oble on heterogenous palladium catalysis.
After an internship in the group of Dr. Kevin Cariou, working on the synthesis of narrow-spectrum antibiotics to fight bacterial resistance, he started a PhD in the same group in October 2022.
In his spare time Jules enjoys playing bass and guitar, going out to listen to live music or to have a drink with his friends, and sometimes both at once.
