Kirill was born in the South Urals in Chelyabinsk. At school he started to participate in scientific conferences with his first small projects regarding the treatment of microwires. It gave him a chance to take part in Intel ISEF 2016, which made him passioned about chemistry. In 2016 he applied at Saint-Petersburg State University, where he has successfully defended his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. His work was connected with luminescent metal complexes and their applications for bioimaging purposes.

He has applied to Gasser Group to continue his synthetic work in another type of application of metal complexes as efficient photosensitizers for photodynamic therapy.

In his spare time, Kirill prefers to visit museums and theaters; he is fascinated by popular science and applies the knowledge he gets from books to daily experimental work.
