Siqi was born in Qiqihaer, a cold but beautiful city in the northeast of China. She started her undergraduated studies in Northeast Agricultural University in China, where she specialized in Food Science and Engineering. She received her Master’s degree from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2014. Afterwards, she engaged in the quality and safety inspection of agricultural product for four years in government departments. In 2018, she started studying Inorganic Chemistry at Beijing Normal University in China under the supervision of Prof. Kezhi Wang. Currently, she joined Dr. Gasser’s Group at Chimie ParisTech as a joint PhD student working on exploring Ru(II) complexes as potential photosensitizers for photodynamic therapy.

She loves running and travelling!
