Excellent news, our article written in collaboration with the groups of Dr. Holger Stephan at the Helmholtz Research Centre Dresden-Rossendorf and Prof. Nils Metzler-Nolte at the Ruhr-University Bochum has been just accepted in Chem. Sci. In this article, the successful tumor pretargeting approach using PNA radiolabeled with 99mTc and complementary PNA linked to the antibody Cetuximab in murine xenografts (human squamous carcinoma cell line A431). Importantly, no metabolization and a high specific tumor accumulation of the PNA conjugate were observed. The results presented in this work are extremely promising in the view of further preclinical studies. A big thank-you to Anna, Christian and Kristof for their hard work towards this manuscript.
