Yesterday, Gilles was in Zurich to receive the Ernest Th. Jucker Prize 2016 from the Ernest Th. Jucker Foundation, Thalwil, Switzerland, in recognition for the work of his group on the development of novel metal complexes for the treatment and diagnosis of cancer. This Foundation was founded in 1976 following the last will of Dr. Ernest Th. Jucker (1903-1972), who was a dedicated medical doctor and surgeon in Thalwil. The beneficiaries of revenue are going to charitable institutions and an annual prize for “the best contribution in cancer-related research”.
